There's nothing like having someone kick you while you're down, to take a lot of cash from a grieving family tho ? If you ever have to deal with them, check charge$ however you may get charged a fee for that too.
The compassionate and caring attention the staff provided for the viewing and funeral of my brother-in-law was well beyond my expectations. They helped us arrange both in the most timely and respectful manner so the extended family was able to be there. Debbie guided my sister in her choices of all aspects of this ritual. She truly cares about the bereaved and their needs. Thank you Debbie.
Then on the day of the funeral, our worst day ever, she comes up right after the service and demanded we pay the guy who dug the hole, we couldn't send a check, pay now ! She said no ! Mom didn't have her purse with her so we had to drive back and write a check and bring it back right then !
Nice People, Nice Funeral Home. The only thing I had a problem with was they allowed someone to take the arrangement. The arrangement I sent had a card with a name on it, but someone else took it. I had to hunt the arraignment down, ask for the arrangement back, travel to that person's home after the funeral (which was several miles out of my way). It was a very awkward situation considering I just attended the funeral. Then I was at some stranger's home asking for something they took without permission. After taking my arrangement back, I then had to deliver it to the correct people. I had to drive several hours back home, so the long drive back home was compounded by the whole situation. I hope this doesn't happen to no one else.
A few years back my Father died in a different state and we had him brought here. All they did was hold him overnight and next day drive him to the church, a 45 minute ride. While talking over our options with their owner/director we started questioning large charges & fees, like the $500 "grievance counseling" ?? which we found was what we were doing right then at the time ? Discussing what we're going to do, that costs $500 ? One $500 charge was for her coming in to accept delivery of Dad ? Unlock a door and wheel a body in, $500 ! (I'm in the wrong busine$$)
